Water Project for Haiti is pleased to introduce you to Tim and Bim Arthun, from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA. Tim and Bim are the project managers who help the people of Haiti by overseeing the operations of Water Project for Haiti.

bimTim comes to us with a background of owning his own business. He has a great deal of experience managing staff and everything else that comes with being a small business owner. Bim has an administrative background and an interest in marketing, training and development, and social media.

Living and working full time on the Borel Campus of Project Help Haiti, Tim and Bim continue to build relationships with their Haitian neighbors. Through their work, they hope to address both the physical and spiritual health by providing clean water for the body, and the living water spoken of in the Gospel for the soulTim.

Tim and Bim have two grown children, a daughter and a son, who live in the Harrisburg area and who are very supportive of their step of faith. They are members of Caring Community Church of God in Hummelstown, PA, where both were active in various ministries.

Technicians

Water Project for Haiti is blessed to provide employment to five young men from the Borel area (listed alphabetically by name):

Cleevens 300Cleevens has been with Water Project for Haiti since our humble beginnings. Whether helping to clear land for the production facility, learning how to pour filter molds, building the diffuser boxes, or providing usage instructions to homeowners, Cleevens knows every aspect of the work. His attention to detail is impressive and he has a keen sense of what needs to be done to ensure success.

Cleevens lives in Borel with his two brothers and a sister. As the oldest, he accepts responsibility without complaint. He can be intensely serious one moment and then lighten the mood with an unexpected joke the next, a characteristic that is welcome on the worksite. In his free time, he likes reading and listening to music. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family.

Jonathan 300Jonathan is our oldest employee, though he appears much younger than his actual age. Also a resident of neighboring Liancourt, he is the sixth youngest in a family of eight.

Along with Cleevens and Harrison, Jonathan has been with Water Project since we first began producing filters. He is very familiar with all aspects of the filter production and spends most of his days cutting and bending tin for the diffuser boxes. Jonathan is methodical and attentive - a necessity in the construction process.

Jonathan enjoys music, singing, and writing, and is very active in his church's Brigade. He also spends a great deal of time working in his gardent. We look forward to the bounty that is sure to come from his hard work.

shelove 300Shelove joined our staff in late November 2012 after accompanying us on several filter installations. He wanted to prove that he is a hard worker who is grateful to have a paying job.

Like most of our employees, Shelove comes from a fairly large family - two sisters and three brothers. In addition to being grateful to have a job, he is grateful to have a home with his sister in Borel as both parents are deceased.

Around the worksite, Shelove can usually be found prepping molds, mixing concrete, or sifting sand. He works quietly, but always has a smile to offer when someone visits.

Shelove comes across as quiet and shy when you first meet him, but he enjoys music and sings in three different church groups. He is also a huge soccer fan who spends much of his free time either watching or playing the game.

We are grateful for ALL of our Water Project for Haiti technicians and appreciate prayer cover for them, their families, and for their impact in Haiti.
